Rules

  1. All 6-Hour races will be a mass start at 10:00 AM and 3-Hour races will start at 10:15 AM with all race categories going off at one time.  All racers must complete their last lap within six/three hours respectively.  No bonus laps!

  2. At all races, if a racer finds they are off course (whether by their own mistake or even sabotaged course markings) they MUST return to the point where they got off course and continue FROM THAT POINT. It is always the responsibility of each racer to watch the course for turns and carry any maps or directional material if it's provided at each race. Any racer that is proven to have been off course without returning to the original spot they went off course  from will be DISQUALIFIED.  Courses will be well marked so this should not become an issue.

  3. Spectators may watch anywhere along the course but are asked to not ride the course during the race. Any spectator riding along with a racer, as support, is not allowed and will DISQUALIFY the racer.

  4. Did Not Finish (DNF)… If you drop out of the race, you must notify a race official.  We need to account for all racers for obvious safety reasons.

  5. Racers can only set-up tents and park cars in designated areas only.

  6. Please do not litter!  Used gel packs are the worst to clean up. Leave no trace. Littering of any kind is strictly prohibited during the race. You will be DISQUALIFIED if there is a report that a racer is not respecting this rule.

  7. The lands we share at many of these races include City, County, State and National Forest Land. It is imperative that we show them we can hold events like these while being good stewards of our trails. Please pocket your gels, bars, baggies, bottles, tubes, etc.  DO NOT THROW ANYTHING ON THE GROUND! Pack it in, pack it out!

  8. Epic-Races reserves the rights to combine or discontinue categories with low participation.  We would also consider adding categories in the event of a high registration in said category.  Both of these scenarios will be hard to do considering this is a series and we'll do our best to make it as fair as possible for all racers.

  9. No refunds will be given unless an event is canceled.

  10. It is your responsibility to be present for any awards that you may have won.  Epic-Races is not able to mail prizes to you.

  11. Each racer must have the number plate mounted and visible on the front of the bike.

  12. For 2 & 3 person teams, each racer in the team must complete a minimum of 1 lap to be scored.  If a racer is found to not have completed a lap, said team will be DISQUALIFIED.

  13. Racers may ride as many laps consecutively as they wish.  Each racer must ride a minimum of 1 lap during the 3/6 hour period.  All laps must be completed by 1:15/4:00 PM  or they will NOT count The 3/6 hour race winners will be the racers that have tallied the most laps at the end of the 3/6 hours in the fastest time.  All racers may assist other racers.

  14. Ride through the designated timing area (Start/Finish line) or your lap will not count.

  15. Once you cross through the timing area you may continue back out on the course or stop at your pit area.

  16. You don't have to be self-supportive in this race.  If you have a mechanical and another rider comes along and they have a tool or knowledge to help, it's ok to do so.

  17. Once you cross through the timing area you may continue back out on the course or teams may exchange racers within the designated Transition zone. (Failure to do so may result in DQ)

Transfer/Refund Policy

Once registered, there will be NO transfers or refunds given.

Bad Weather Policy

Unless posted, races will continue as planned.  We will do our best to conduct the races as scheduled.  However, racer safety is our main priority.  Each situation we'll handle on a case by case basis.  Shortening the race is a possibility along with rescheduling if possible if unable to start.  Again, we'll consider each situation on a case by case basis pertaining to the weather condition we'd be experiencing.

Bad weather information will be posted on our website, social media and or email as soon as possible depending on the weather conditions.  If chance of bad weather, it is the responsibility of the racer to check information posted by the director.
